The Association of Icam Engineers has celebrated its 100th Anniversary
The Association of Icam Engineers was created in 1909. One of the desire of its founders was to establish bonds of solidarity and friendship between Icam graduates.
Last year the organization celebrated the 100th Anniversary. Members and guests met to commemorate this event in Palais des congrès in Versailles from 6 to 8 November 2009.
“1365 guests aged 20 to 93 have participated in this event, 300 students included!” – said André Satin who was responsible for its organization – “They had the chance to participate in numerous meetings, presentations and lectures.”
It is worth mentioning some of the speakers: Miguel Roland Gosselin SJ, Jesuit and almoner of École polytechnique in Paris, who gave a lecture on “What to expect from an Icam engineer in the future” and Michel Camdessus, former Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, who talked about the return to ethics in a globalized world.
The Mess for Members was performed by the Provincial of France Jean-Yves Grenet SJ.
Many generations of graduates have participated in this event, where they could meet and talk about their life experience. For more information please visit the site of
